This is a short camel ride option ideal for guests who want an authentic experience on arrival, without taking a long tour.
Ride a camel through the desert the way Bedouins have done for generations.
Choose the timing that fits your arrival schedule and travel plans.
Your guide will either lead the camel by rope or ride on their own camel depending on the arrangement.
1) If you would like to book the camel ride with the guide riding another camel for a quicker ride, 20 JOD extra.
2) If the guide is not riding a camel, no extra charges.
Evening camel rides are available but may cost extra. Sunrise/sunset rides are priced higher due to high demand and additional logistics, as camels must be brought from Wadi Rum Village.
Sunrise/Sunset Rate: 35 JOD per person per hour, and the next hour is 20 JOD per person per hour (if you take 2 hours).
Lunch is not included in this camel ride. If you want to add lunch boxes/lunches, this would be additional: Lunch Box, Bedouin Lunch, or Lunch at the camp is 15 JOD per person.
Bedouin guides for camel rides may speak limited English compared to jeep tour guides.
All camel tours are subject to weather conditions and local regulations.
We are proud to be part of community-based tourism in Wadi Rum. All camel rides and camel tours are operated exclusively by the local Bedouin community of Wadi Rum, in full compliance with Wadi Rum Protected Area regulations.
Payments for camel tours are delivered directly to the Bedouin families, supporting their livelihoods and preserving traditional desert culture. Our role is to act as organizers and coordinators, ensuring smooth arrangements and high-quality experiences for our guests.
